Tips to Make Better Photos that I always operate
A while ago I was going through the pictures I took on my last trip, thanks to that curso fotografia I attended. I must admit that I am somewhat irregular taking pictures, and whenever I ponder the reason I come to the same conclusion: sometimes do not pay as much attention as it should and not make the photos “with love”. When I review what I’ve done I realize the times when I did the photos, the faults I committed in each of them, and above all, the reasons why, in my opinion, some of the photos I do that are clearly better than other pictures of me. So, I wanted to reflect in this article about some tips that work for me and that will surely work to make better photos with your camera when you go out next time. If you have two minutes I’ll tell you what they are.
Check the camera settings
This, rather than to make better photos, is to not make them worse or not completely spoil.
And it often happens to me that I do not check how I have the camera settings, even from session to session.
For shooting modes that I work, I usually have controlled the aperture and exposure time used in my photos, but there are other elements such as ISO, exposure compensation or metering mode light , not to fit in each photo, sometimes I forget to review them.
It’s good that you apply one disciplica revision of the camera controls to minimize the number of problems due to incorrect settings when taking pictures. On my last post about that escuela de fotografia in Buenos Aires I talk about that.
Watch the background
When I take pictures, sometimes I focus on the main element of the photo and forgot to check if in the back of my photograph is an unwanted element.
I’m so focused on getting what I want that I forget everything else.
My brain isolates the main detail of the other elements in the frame at the time of taking pictures, but when I check the computer work I realize the error in many photos are elements that, far from being interesting, they become annoying distractions that ruin the job.
It is therefore good practice to double check the background beyond the focus of the photo to make sure nothing comes out that should not be in the picture. More info and techniques can be found at homepage of FotoClub Buenos Aires.
